About Jacqueline

Jacqueline earned her Associate Degree in Occupational Studies from the Swedish Institute in New York City, where she completed a 1200 hour comprehensive Massage Therapy and Shiatsu program. Her experience includes clinic work as well as internships focusing on relaxation and therapeutic Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, shiatsu, and chair massage. Since her move to Philadelphia she has worked at Health one Chiropractic where she learned about in depth therapy for neck and back issues. Her experience working at Queen Village Holistic Health as well as the Shiatsu Co-op has broadened her scope as well, working with eastern as well as western techniques. She works to combine the balance of shiatsu bodywork with the medical muscle knowledge of western massage therapy. She has been nationally certified by the NCBTMB. She has also been licensed by New York state, and belongs to the American Massage Therapy Association. Starting in July of 2010 she opened her own office the Medical Arts Building at 1601 Walnut Street.

Previously, Jacqueline received her BS in Biology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. After two years of mission work in Nome Alaska she traveled to Claremont, CA and received her Masters of Divinity at Claremont School of Theology. She worked two years as a hospital chaplain at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY where she discovered the power of human touch. This discovery led her to pursue a career in massage therapy.

Currently, Jacqueline is expecting her first child due April 12, 2011. Due to this new addition she will be taking four months off starting March 14, 2011. Updates will be posted as soon as they are available.
